Luigi Borio  

Classical Guitarist

 

At first he studied double bass in the class of teacher Guido Battistelli in the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and then he studied classical guitar with  Luigi Locatto and Hirotsocu Kakinuma, a pupil of Narciso Yepes.

He graduated in guitar from the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatoire in Trieste and he also graduated in economy-commerce from the Turin University.

Later he studied vith Frederic Zigante in Turin and Edoardo Catemario in Mozarteum of Salzburg.

His friends are   Oscar Ghiglia and Stefano Grondona.

He played recitals in  Rome (Accademia degli Incolti), Paris (Australian Academy), Anacapri (Axel Munthe Foundation), Torre Veja Spain (Certamen National of Habanera), Ravello (Music Festival), Turin, Bologna, Florence, Palermo, Sorrento, etc..

He played with Orchestra Sinfonica Giovanile del Piemonte

With this orchestra he played the " Misa Criolla " by Ariel Ramirez in the Cathedral  of Monaco.

On 1982 he wrote the music of Ballet " L'albero dalle mele d'oro " performed in Theatre " Giuseppe Giacosa " in Ivrea.

On 1988 he recorded as composer-interpreter.

From 1979 he is a teacher of classical guitar in the music school " Associazione Liceo Musicale di Ivrea ".

Some of his pupils became very good teachers.
