Martin Mexme

Martin is a French pianist, guitarist, session musician, and educator based in Bristol.

His musical journey began as a member of the French Radio Choir, where he performed from 2011 to 2017 under the direction of world-renowned conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Sofi Jeanin, Gustavo Dudamel, and others.

In 2017, Martin moved to Bristol to study at the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music, where he developed a deep passion for jazz, improvisation, and groove-based music.

Now a professional session musician, Martin has performed across the country at prestigious venues including Ronnie Scott’s, the Soho Pizza Express Jazz Club, and Glastonbury Festival.

His teaching approach draws from his experience as a working musician, focusing on fostering freedom, expression, and versatility in his students. Martin is dedicated to helping them create music collaboratively and express themselves with authenticity and creativity.
