Our approach
Our two-week intensive courses are designed to cater to each student’s unique needs and preferences. We offer tailored music and language tuition for all levels and ages, led by world-class tutors. Courses take place in the UK and Europe and conclude with a student concert – no auditions required.
Core modules
Learning tailored to you
All students are enrolled in individual instrumental or vocal tuition, Musicianship, Choir and an ensemble (Classical Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble or Session Orchestra).
These four core modules are the foundation of every LMFL course. Please bring piano parts for all the repertoire you plan to study, and take them to every lesson.

A day at LMFL
From breakfast to evening ensemble
An example day for a student taking violin and piano. Every timetable is built around the student’s own choice of modules.

The day starts together in the dining hall.

Fifty-five minutes one-to-one, shaped around what you want to work on.

*Students organise their own practice time. Practice rooms are available, and students often arrange group practice sessions themselves.
Life on course
Beyond the classroom
A typical day at LMFL involves inspiring lessons, but also embraces the dynamic life beyond the classroom. Students actively shape their experience, organising activities from card games to sports, creating a vibrant atmosphere of shared interests and camaraderie.
Our daily communal meals are the perfect place to make new friends, discuss music and chat with your tutors.

Day off adventures
Every LMFL course includes one day off classes and scheduled activities, usually the Sunday of the first week. Explore the surroundings, soak up the local culture and recharge for the week ahead.
